August 14 and 15, 2020 We made it in then out then in to Kansas. Back into Oklahoma, in and out of New Mexico, and hello Colorado!!
The claim to fame in Liberal, Kansas is that it IS the “Land of Oz”. Supposedly there’s a little White House with Toto on the porch for tourist pics. I guess it’s like standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona. We never saw it. Sigh.
This is flat land. Period. It was just mile after mile of farmland, and old and new silos and barns. The TAT runs on farm roads in the fields, but after crazy rainstorms we chose to stop making a mess of the rutted work roads. I think the farmers would appreciate it.

we had to find another car wash……

Those air tabs are mud tabs

We found a welding shop in little Buffalo, Oklahoma. Yay! We were able to get our new air bag brackets welded at the correct angles. After some tweaking all systems go! We have a great ride, and the setup seems to be good for the long haul.
One little town, Gates, Oklahoma was covered in murals. So that was a little more exciting.

but you can’t beat the yard art. Maybe it was for sale ??

Yes there is a little white house called Dorothys house just off of main street in downtown Liberal, KS, there is also a Wizard of Oz museum next door. It is a interesting place to stop and spend a few min. Love the progress and pictures so far, now that you are in Colorado the dirt will become more frequent 😉
