August 6, 2020 More Tennessee and the Historic Jack Daniels Distillery
Things are getting weird….
No, we didn’t go there
On these back roads we see a lot of old dogs, just waiting for someone/anyone to come by. It’s probably a big day when they see 5 Jeeps in a row go by.
Plenty of cool old cars in the south
On the road again 🎶🎶🎶 just can’t wait to get on the road again 🎶🎶🎶
The Jack Daniel Distillery was a nice surprise. We spent some time touring the grounds and had some excellent BBQ for lunch.
Like a glass block wall, this is a really cool bottle glass wall.

Somewhere in a backstory there is a link between Jack Daniel and the original provider of the famous Ducks in the fountain at the Memphis
Peabody Hotel. (Hunting buddies joke, I think). Anyway, TinShanty and Beats Working went there on the way East.
Here they are! The “World Famous Peabody Hotel Ducks”, getting out of the elevator from the penthouse, walking the red carpet and plopping into the fountain to the cheer and applause of the crowd. Yes, we wore masks and practiced social distancing!

Just ducks.
As seen on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Sesame Street with Big Bird, and the Sports Illustrated. Swimsuit addition. True story.
We found the nice little Davey Crocket campground.
Ruby had a nice perch for bird and squirrel watching.

This is the end of Tennessee, Mississippi tomorrow…

Looks like you are having a great time!! Somehow i thought you would be further away from civilization! Jack Daniels tour a bonus. We went into the N Cascade National Park this morning. Beautiful!

Very cool. I like the inside look of the barrels and the bottle wall. Tennessee looks like a fun place to visit.
